Students of Pentab High gets attention from a teacher, while other students are locked away studying.

Pentab High School and Evening Institute

Approximately 120 students are in attendance, of which 50% are from the community. The school offers both academic subjects and skills training in Food & Nutrition and Computer repairs. Initially, the curriculum targeted fourth and fifth form students who had either dropped out of school or were expelled due to behavioural problems. Working closely with the Ministry of Education, the school is an accredited independent high school providing a curriculum covering first to fifth forms. So successful is the institution, that the Ministry of Education over the last two school years, have requested that we accept students for first form who have been successful in the Grade Six Achievement Test (GSAT) Examinations.
The school still offers Food and Nutrition and Food Preparation courses as a skill as well as computer repairs. At present the school is seeking to upgrade its computer laboratory to increase its offer in computer technology.
